Indonesia has, officially, left side traffic. Officially means: this is how it should be done, but either nobody knows about this rule or nobody seems to care about following rules.

The Indonesian traffic seems for western people an 'organized chaos'. Tourists are however, if they have an international drivers license, permitted to drive a car. But considering the fore mentioned situation this is not advisable. If something goes wrong there will be huge legal complications and one is surrendered to the local justice system, believe us: you don't want this to happen to you!

It is always better to rent a car including a local driver, ask our staff for advice.
